Just love Lukla..! Yesterday we spent 6 hrs at Kathmandu Airport before getting cancelled out. Today we were rushed through in the blink of an eye and ended up landing at Lukla at 7.20am..!! Beautiful sunny morning.

The flight into Lukla was its normal brilliant experience. All of the team commented on just how much they enjoyed it.

We are now having a warm drink at Paadise Lodge before we get our trek bags organised and meet our Porters.

Team busting to get started.

Good one guys! How fondly I remember the first day of trekking - downhill and a rush of new experiences. Sensory overload almost.
...and especially remembered on the last day - uphill back to Lukla. Hope no-one was looking back over their shoulders!!
Looks like you are off to a good start - hope is continues that way.
Safe and happy trekking!!

We are glad to hear that you guys got your flight today, Dad said that if you need to get a chopper get Uncle John to do the pre flight inspection before you pay the $$$.

Great news guys. Now put all that training to good use. Don't overindulge. Kev, are you listening? Just remember those photos up on the wall at the gym.

Great stuff guys, glad to know you made it with only one days delay. Can't wait to see the return photo & compare the two, sure to see some significant changes. What is that beverage in front of Kev, surely he's not on the wagon already!!!

Hi there David, mt first time blogging so here goes .... great to hear you have finally arrived safe. Can't believe you are on the other side of the world (well very far away). I bet having weather other than stinking hot was a nice change, hate to tell you but the weather in Melbourne now is just right - top 20's. Still, I think you guys are having more fun. Thinking and praying for you and your group as I said I would .... happy memories - Kathleen

Hi all
We've just arrived in Namche, and I have just read out your comments to the team. Absolute rippers.
I'll try to drop a new update a little later.

Keep up the great effort and remember it is worth it for the memories alone. The scenery and the accomplishing the ascent to base camp are a bonus.
