Thanks for todays update David.
We sat around the airport from 5.30am until just before 10am before an announcement was made the planes were flying and we were being transferred to our flight to Lukla on the twin engine 17 seater.
The flight didn’t disappoint. Everyone could see Lukla a couple of minutes before landing with it’s tiny runway leaving no room for error which makes it even more impressive.
Today was an easy walk to a village called Toc Toc. We walked with a 13 year old boy who was carrying 30kg of rice for work....he obviously thought portering was better than learning maths or English!!!!!
We are now all tucked up in our lodge for the night. Heater has been lit in the dining room making it quite warm. Everyone is tired due to our 4.30 wake up. Tomorrow is the first of one of our big climbs up to Namche Bazaar where we will spend two nights acclimatising.

Great photos Sue. Good luck to all of you on the Namche slog tomorrow. Don’t forget to stop for the view of Everest half way up. Wishing I was there.

Ah, Toc Toc. I remember it well. A mad Scotsman in our Team2012 appeared in the morning wearing a kilt. No need for jocks.

C'mon Sue. You know the unwritten law. "What happens in the mountains, stays in the mountains"

No.....what happens on the mountain goes on the blog. Straight on the blog.
