Pictured. Lukla runway at 1pm...!!!

"All flights Cancelled". And there is a miserable forecast for Lukla over the next week...! Sue and Sammy are still here with helicopters also unable to get up here...!!!

The snow and rain has backed off, but there is a heavy fog over the runway and entire village, resulting In long faces in the lodge. Lukla is going to test all of us.

That's tough stuff at this end of the trip as timing is now crucial. Tolerance and resignation............hope you have better news by morning. Fingers, legs & eyes crossed!

David, think of this as an opportunity.
You can lead the troupe back to Jiri and catch the bus!
That would really be giving them value for money!

Hope the weather improves for you guys. If not, that Irish Pub in Lukla may have to ration their supplies if it still exists. Had an interesting night their in 2012.

Hi everyone. Such a shame you are stuck in the clouds. Hopefully it clears soon and you can finish off your trip in style in Kathmandu! The blog has freaked me out over the past two weeks and I'm already worrying about 2015 trek. Just on my way down from two laps of 1000 steps as I type this. . .

Hi Jas. A simple response.
Don't WORRY about this trek, just be RESPECTFUL of it.

There are those who are heroes in their own mind and treat this trek as something to be simply ticked off before they have even departed.
