We are all learning very quickly this trek is either straight up or straight down. To give you an indication, we dropped 1000 meters in 1.5 hours!!! Everyone's knees are coping well. No sooner do you drop down to the river you start to climb back up again.

Our day today is a bit shorter and we have arrived in our lodge by 1pm. As you can see, beers are on order. Bill is a bad influence on everyone.

We are sitting at a table outside in the sun while Eagles are soaring above. Truly amazing.

If there is wifi tomorrow, I will update again.

Hi ABC team.
I've enjoyed following your progress. Your blogs ooze of good fun but also challenge. Well done and look forward to catching up in Kat.

Thanks David. Plenty of laughs and plenty of ups. No sooner do we gain altitude we lose it.

Looks amazing! You all seem to be climbing with ease..... I'm climbing the hills in Apollo Bay but it's not quite the same!
I am having quality time with my new Grandson and lots of cuddles!!
Love and miss you Elias xxx

Reckon my dodgy knees would have handled this one Didi?
I'd be ok with the beer!
(maybe not that Gorkha rocket fuel, no a good trackrecord there)

..and how may electronic gadgets has Sammy got with him?
..must be like dragging JB HiFi witth you

I don't mind walking up and down but the stairs are the really tough way to go about it. It's a really nice looking area from the Google Earth satellite view, (paste 28.4185, 83.81811 into the search box). I can't make out which lodge the image is from, Open Street Map shows a number in the area and there's not enough in the back ground for me to work it out from Google Earth. So, more info next time, please. : )

Hi Chris and Anne, it looks really spectacular. Well done in keeping up with all the climbing. It makes Mt.Coolum sound like a gentle stroll!
All the best for the last day or so.
