Annapurna Base Camp. Day 2 of trek (Sue)

14/1/2015

Day 2 of trek and everyone is traveling really well. Today was probably one of the hardest days of the trek as we had 3000 steps to climb before lunch plus a heap more after lunch. This morning we started at an altitude of 1430m and have climbed to 2900 Metres. Tomorrow we have an early morning "stroll" up to Poon Hill to watch the sunrise over the Annapurnas.
Temperatures have been really mild during the day, but cooling down at night.
Lots of laughs amongst the group, and everyone really excited about what the next day brings.

Looks fantastic. I miss it. I'm very glad to see Elias looking a little ragged. Makes me feel human. Hope you are all trekking strong. It will be worthwhile. Go hard Sammy and Courtney.

Wel done ABC team. We are in Tok Tok and thinking about you. Your porters have lovely smiles on their faces, which is surprising given they are having to lug around those heavy kit bags!!! For the record, we didn't have 1 bag exceed 10kg on our group!!! Please explain!
Keep up the strong trekking.

It will be Sammy's bag - loads of Baklava and cold pizza

Ray. Sammys bag was 12 kilos. 10 of that was food, the other 2 was clothing.

Congratulations. Looks like a great view. Is that Mt. everest in the background covered in snow??

Hello Liam, no, that's not Everest. The Machupachare. In 4 days we will be standing at the base of that.

Looks like your keeping up with the pace Lizzy. Looks amazing, unlike that hat your wearing.
