On a beautiful morning, I don't know how we did it, but we happened to score the most sensational morning thus far.

We awoke early to stars and no cloud. The slower members of the team set out at 5.30am at minus 13.  The rest of us set out at 6am. We arrived on top of Kalar Patar at around 8.30am. Not a cloud in sight and no wind. Brilliant. The last member of the team arrived a little while later. It was a terrific time. Lots of photos and several pats on the back.

We are now back down at Ghorak Shep having breakfast and ready to pack our kit bags for our decent down to Perishe (4,200m).

Been a fantastic morning. One of the best I've had in a while.

Congratulation Team. Well, according to the weather website, it wasn't looking good. Please to hear it was wrong. Well done and enjoy the influx of oxygen over the next few days.

Congrats to everyone :) The photo looks absolutely breathtaking!
Thank you Dad for being such an inspiration to me and doing what you love, not to serve yourself, but to serve others. I look up to you so much. Missing you back home xx
Enjoy the trip back, team, and don't forget to stop and look up from the ground you're trekking on! Conquering the climb is only a small part of this incredible experience :)

Thanks so much everyone. Some wonderful comments.
All the team are descending incredibly well today, given how fatigued many of them were last night from yesterday's mighty effort.
We are due in Namche in a few hrs were I will post a detailed update.
We have loved your support.
