Mon 8th Feb. oh oh...!!

So it's 6.30am. We've had breakfast and now the waiting game begins. A little foggy here as daylight breaks.

We have no idea what's happening in Kathmandu. Yesterday Kat was closed all morning and flights started after lunch.

Weather for Kat meant to be 20 degrees with possible thunder.

Will keep you posted.

Now it's raining!!!

Hey troopers. Hang in there. Forecast says you may struggle to get out today, but a good morning forecast tomorrow before another afternoon storm, then a beaute day on Wednesday.
Still early enough in the day for "Blir" to wash some clothes.

But then another website I have just accessed isn't so promising in its forecast !! Ah good old Lukla, it may provide you a good dose of adrenaline, but it can certainly do your head in as well...!!!
Keep the updates and photos coming guys. A heap of us still following you and enjoying them back here.

Time to cheer you up.

They've just cancelled flights. It's trying to snow. Our bags have been taken back to our rooms and it's all De Ja Vue. Will go for a walk later and see if I can smell coffee brewing. On a good note, tonight's accommodation is around US$7 as opposed to Kathmandu at US$70.
NO JAMES I'm not staying in Lukla until Thursday and heading straight to the international terminal to save money.

Bad news guys. Couldn't bring myself to tell you yesterday that today's forecast for around Lukla was for snow.

Hi Wendy, that sure did break the boredom of sitting around with nothing to do for at least 10 minutes of the day. Watching your kids run around nudey in 45 degree heat while we were in minus 6.

Hi all. FYI,

THEY HAVE FLOW OUT OF LUKLA and are now back in Kat. Great effort given the weather forecast was deteriorating..!!

Anticipating a blog update from Sue later.

Well done to you all. Not a trek I would ever consider. Your comments have kept me amused Didi and the photos are fantastic. You can now thaw out and enjoy the steakhouse back in Kat.

Is this the real wine or an imposter?

It is the real wine, Didi. What are you doing up so early? Bed too hard, too much Everest beer last night or have not gone to bed yet after partying over the road at the bar (name escapes me) with the loud music?
