We have arrived into Lukla. We're staying in Toc Toc tonight and no Wifi. So next update will be from Namche. David struggling to adjust with zero temp after Western Australian 40 degree heat. Harden up David..!!!

So what do you do when waiting on the Tarmac for the fog to lift....you pull a couple of seats out of the plane and sit in the sun.....that's what you do.

You never know who you run into at the airport. Sitting having a cup of tea with Mingma in Lukla. Nima here too. David. Mingma doesn't need that operation and will be all good for next month.

Good for you for getting into Lukla first go. Great to hear that Mingma is healthy and well.
Please remind David that by this time next week, he will look upon zero degrees at Lukla as absolute paradise..! Tell him to get some of that "Triactin" stuff.

So true, he seems a lot better today and even got down to a TShirt until the cloud came and made it cold again.

Getting into Lukla first up is good karma for the rest of the trek. Is there much snow on the ground higher up & is any forecast?
Assume you going acclimatise at Everest View. Try going the reverse direction, up the bluestone steps from Namche. Would be just like an easy day on the Annapurna trail!!!

Hi Liam, the down jacket is sooo warm thank you. Hard to imagine you guys are in heat and we are here trying to stay warm. Hope dad is cooking healthy food and not frozen pizzas.
