Sun 3rd Feb. Breathing easy at 3400mts...

Breathing easy at 3400 metres. A cold night in Pangboche, but nothing like Gorak Shep. We started at 8.30 and were in Namche by 2.30. One guess where we are now. Yep the Bakery. My first cafe latte in 10 days.

Gary seems to have improved somewhat and although still didn’t have lunch, he tackled the steep hills....not all down without a problem. Tahlia is pleased she didn’t amputate her foot as Josh’s runners have worked a treat with a big descent down from Tangboche she was right behind us.

The trail is still very icy from the dump of snow on our way up and we have managed so far without crampons but spare a thought for Lauren who happened to find a patch of ice half a meter long that resulted in evacuation.

Ahhh Gary I do hope you’re feeling better. You look a lot better in the group shot than the one when you reached Basecamp...thank goodness!
One leg to go guys stay safe & take care on the slippery slopes!
You guys are awesome!
So what’s Gary planning for your next adventure or is that too soon to contemplate😬xo

A strong effort by you and your team Didi Your guides/porters have done a magnificent job. One big descent to go. Take care.
Had lunch yesterday with former EBC team members, Paulene and Des. Des spent most of Saturday and overnight fighting bushfire near Hepburn Springs.

Tomorrow night if weather is on our side Khumbu. Moonlight rooftop still not in operation. Can sit up there, but bar not functioning. Hot water not functioning either....very frustrating, sometimes hot water, sometimes not. They need to get it sorted.
