Mon 24th Feb - LUKLA......Here we come.

24/2/2020

An early start and out to the Domestic terminal by 5.30am.  The weather gods were on our side.  We arrived into Lukla at 7.10am.

An emotional reunion with Ngima who I haven't seen since the passing of her beloved Mingma.  Ngima, along with two others will porter for me on this journey to Base Camp.   Never, never underestimate the power of a Nepalese woman.  They breed them tough in the mountains.

Glorious sunshine as we made our way to our first stop, Tok Tok.  I know all too well that as soon as that glorious sunshine diminishes for the day the icy mountain air drops to below zero very quickly.

Hoping for a good sleep tonight as tomorrow is the first of one of our big climbs up into Namche Bazaar.

Prakash is brilliant. A few hassles this morning at the airport were resolved brilliantly.
I did get in very early last time,, but outside of that, definitely one of the earliest.!

Could he pull some strings and get your 15kg of super soft toilet rolls, and ball bag rash cream through screening. Oh....did I just say that on the blog?

You bitch. Placing Daves fungal infection of his private parts on the public record is completely out of order. Don't worry mate, I'll stick up for you!

Oh that’s just lovely. The both of you are hereby served a first “blog etiquette warning”

Hope the infection gets better... sorry!

Well well well.....there appears to be another Sue on the blog and I don't think it's Davids wife (Sue). Now David, you know I heed your warning about being ejected from the blog....well, most of the time.

So great that today went so smoothly you’re finally on the trek. I have no doubt that Matt & Eliza’s loud voices have been echoing through the Himalayan hills today.....😂

Ah! Tok Tok. Just the place for wearing a kilt (team 2012). Don't know how he made the 10kg baggage restriction
