Sat 22nd Feb - Arrived into Kat

After yesterday’s drama of missing out on arriving into Kat, today’s 2nd attempt was largely uneventful. We landed around 12.15pm, made our way to Kathmandu Guest House, dumped our bags and walked to Durbar Square, one of my favourite sites in Kat. Then back to meet our trek guide Prakash, and shout him a dinner. Great first day in Kat.
Tomorrow morning, we will purchase and hire our gear, do a bit more sightseeing and complete our packing for an early Monday morning departure to Lukla.
Well that’s the plan anyway.

Glad to hear you all arrived safely in to Katt. A city to inspire all your senses.
Say hello to Prakash. He is a great guide and lots of fun. He will look after you all. I wonder if he still has his first aid bag that's the size of a laptop, which he treks carrying it under his arm😀

“Winner”.......? Who could that be?
A walk to Durbar Square within 2hrs of arrival into Kat certainly pushes the sensors to their limits..! A quick drop into Sam’s Bar on the way was timely.
I’m now intrigued about this first aid kit..!

Enjoy your day around Kathmandu. Enjoy the warmth of Kat. The amazing flight to Lukla is tomorrow, sit in the left hand side of the plane for the best views.

Cheers Khumbu. With only 5 of us, the entire team could get left side of plane. Fingers crossed for weather.
