We have arrived safely into Namche @3500mts amsl. I have to admit the climb reminded me that I haven’t done it in 2 years..!!! It was tough. Thankfully we all stayed together, arriving into Namche around 2.30pm. We are staying at my normal Khumbu Lodge (much to Prakash’s annoyance as he likes to stay somewhere else). We will go to the bakery shortly and enjoy our last spoils for 5-6 days.
Oh, there is something I need to report about this teams actions upon arriving. These so called tough Himalayan/Everest trekkers have ALL upgraded their rooms to those with hot showers......AND......electric blankets.. shame shame shame (and shame to me too..!!!!)

PS...some past Treknapalwithme trekkers have commented that tomorrows acclimatisation walk is harder than todays Namche climb.

I remember that "rest day". It was tough and also was the day that Mr D Gaul deserted me and, after an hour, lost, I had to ask local children if they knew where you went.. All part of a great trek.

Tomorrow (rest day) needs to be renamed… EV Hotel is a wonderful lunch though!!

We officially no longer call them ‘rest days”, because they definitely aren’t.!! And yes, these rooms will be firmly booked for our trip down.

I won’t comment on someone using these luxury rooms on previous treks.

Prakash, why have I never been offered these luxury rooms on any of my trips?

I think because you stay in Namche lodges that have no such luxuries.!
Oh, these are a little $$$, so I hope my team don’t complain that they’re blowing their budget LOL

Prakash told me he doesn’t offer me luxury rooms “because you’re not as “soft” as your brother, DIDI.

Thanks for following us Vicki. For the record, when the upgrade rooms were offered, Matt was the first to accept..!!

Now c’mon Matt. You can’t be serious. At this rate they’ll be staying at the Day Spa in Gorek Shep.

Matt Mee, you have fond memories of Gorek Shep. In fact let me remind you of something you were considering three days before we arrived you said “if the weather is bad, can we stay another night at Gorek Shep and head up KP on the second morning”. Matt loves KP so much he wanted to stay 2 nights 😂. Any of the bloggers who knows Gorek Shep will get a chuckle from this!!!
