Had a fun night at Tengboche last night. Normal round of cards and then looking around the room judging each person on their likely success higher up! Lots of laughs. This morning, a pleasant 4 hr walk to Namche in a cloudy day. Have just arrived. Girls have already booked a full hair wash and blow dry (princess tours). I am going to find a barber to shave me because “Wine” and “Lost in the Desert” keep stirring me about my white whiskers..!!!!.
Big final day tomorrow as we close out the trek on the 7-8hr Namche to Lukla leg. Prakash has informed us that the weather is about to change and the day of our Lukla to Kat flight does NOT look overly good.
Boots are holding up, but are about to get a glue touch up..!!

Ha, only stink during the day and on a tough climb. Night time is all ok.
I will however be writing a personal letter of complaint to Nivea that their roll-on deodorant doesn’t cut it on Himalayan treks.!!!

While you’re at it you may as well write a letter of complaint to Bonds saying the stains don’t come out of their jocks.

Enjoy the last of the trek to Lukla. Hope the weather holds so that you get out on schedule. Talking about your jocks etc, I stumbled across a website that had an essential packing list for EBC. They classed as essential 5-6 t-shirts’, 5-6 pairs of socks and 5-6 pairs of jocks. Would definitely have trouble with the 20kg weight limit.

Khumbu. My list this trip.
3 shirts (all stink),
2 pair socks (refer above)
7 pair jocks (think I’ve only rotated through 4).
I HAVE washed a few but at day 11 have no idea which ones.
