I love the 1000 Steps. I have been training and preparing Nepal clients there for years. They have been an excellent prep for a Nepal trek. This morning, we visited the Steps for the last time prior to our Feb 18th departure. In all my visits, it was probably the busiest day out there that I can remember..! Along with the Botanical Gardens TAN walk, the Steps would have to be one of Melbourne's most popular training grounds.
Some of next month's team were unavailable, but those who got out there did a fantastic job completing the required circuits. Well done to all, and great effort to those few who completed 5 circuits.
Next Saturday morning, we are at the You Yangs for our 3rd last training session. (38 days till departure.!!) Check out the new days-to-departure countdown now on the 2016 page. Most of the team, as well as one from the 2017 EBC trip will be there.
Some of the team have now had their inoculations. Return accommodation via Bangkok will be booked this week. Travel documentation kits will be prepared and distributed shortly.
